Doug Tipton died in a fight at Kona early this morning.
When people are killed in this oftentimes awful city, we don't know much about the victims without the help of our commenters. Sometimes comments help fill in the blanks. Today's Comment of the Day goes to CB for telling us a little more about Doug Tipton, the man who died after a fight at Plaza sushi bar Kona Grill in the wee morning hours. CB says:
I know Doug Tipton very well --- he has not been sick a day in his life -- he was celebrating another successful chapter in his business growing in KC -- he leaves a wife and 3 children -- Doug was only 31 years old. Seizure my a**!

It is important to say that Doug Tipton was on his way to
building an EMPIRE -- and he was doing it the old fashinioned way -- he
was working his buns off -- daily -- well into the night -- he was doing
it for his wife and 3 children. Doug would not work on Saturday or
Sunday -- that was family time. He would drive 4 or 5 hours just to be
with his kids at night and turn around and go back to KC to continue
with his project there. This was a man who had taken charge of his life
and was making it successful by blood -- sweat and now tears! This is an
