  • Kansas Citians are living the game today.

Thursday morning started bloody in Kansas City.

Robbers shot a woman twice in what may have been an attempted carjacking near East 52nd and Eastern around 6 a.m., KMBC Channel 9 reported.

Somehow the woman made her way to a neighbor's house to call for help. The woman reportedly has serious injuries but is now in stable condition.

This is the second reported robbery in the area this morning. Police had already been called to a robbery in the 5400 block of Skiles Avenue, and they believe the two robberies are connected. The suspects are said to be in a maroon car.

As if that wasn't enough for one morning, police are also investigating an attempted carjacking on Montgall. Be safe out there today. It sounds like we're living the Grand Theft Auto game.
