Jermaine Rowe, KCMO homicide No. 101: Man's body found at 11th and Hardesty

UPDATE: The victim of the homicide at 11th and Hardesty has been identified as 27-year-old

Jermaine E. Rowe.

In other homicide news, the KCPD was investigating the city's 102nd homicide Wednesday afternoon after 50-year-old Denise Peterson died after being shot at 54th and Wayne around 4:52 p.m. Police say a man reported hearing gunshots while driving through the area with Peterson. He realized Peterson had been hit and tried to get help.

Original Story: Kansas City, Missouri's homicide death toll now stands at 101 for 2010 after a man was found shot to death Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a shooting at 11th and Hardesty and discovered the unnamed man's body inside an apartment building. The only identifying information released so far is that he was an adult male. We'll probably find out his name later today.
