If you haven't seen Mike Babick's Christmas display in Prairie Village, you really should. It's a spectacle something to behold (even if his neighbors hate his guts and pray for power outages). It's an issue every year, but the

Dustin Schirer (who creates the videos for Scene Stealers) sent me a link to a video he made with Austin Walsh Photography titled "Believe." In the video, Babick recalls when he was 16, meeting a man who he believes was Santa Claus. The video also captures as the switch is flipped, turning on the elaborate display. Damn, that must be a hell of an electric bill. Check out the beautifully strange video after the jump.

The video is beautiful. Babick, he's a little out there in a Willy Wonka kind of way. But if this brings joy to people, then more power to him.

It's in the 7500 block of Falmouth, which is about 1/2 mile east of Mission Road.

Yes, you should absolutely go see the display. If you choose, you can even leave him a couple bucks in the garage for that electric bill.

Just be respectful of his neighbors: don't leave trash, keep the noise down, and for the love of god don't piss in their yards. Don't be the dickhole who gets him shut down, thus depriving thousands of this experience.

I've been going to this house for 30 years. I will find you.
