UPDATE: The victim of Tuesday morning's homicide at Inner City Oil has been identified as 25-year-old Sujendra Amarasingham. Read the update after the jump.
Original Story (December 28): Kansas City police are investigating the city's 104th homicide of 2010 Tuesday morning after a customer made a gruesome discovery. A man was found shot to death inside the Inner City Oil gas station in the 5900 block of Swope Parkway around 5 a.m.
The victim is described as a white male in his forties. Police believe the man was an employee of the gas station.

This is the third year in a row that KCMO's homicide total has topped 100 (110 in 2009 and 126 in 2008). That breaks down to about two homicides a week. When will the people of this city decide this is unacceptable?
UPDATE: Kansas City police are now saying the victim of this morning's homicide
was a man in his mid-twenties and was working at the gas station when
he was shot to death.
UPDATE II: Kansas City police released two surveillance camera photos in hopes the
public an help them solve Tuesday morning's convenience store homicide.
