Dr. Martin McDonald of Poplar Bluff must hold some kind of county record for probations and pervdom.
McDonald's suspect case history began in 2002, says the Southeast
Missourian, when his medical license had been placed on a
seven-year probationary period for purchasing 4,000 Xanax tablets for
his office manager's extracurricular use.
Three years later, he got another decade's worth of probation when he had a monthlong
sexual fling with a patient. During his 30 days of impropriety, McDonald performed unnecessary and inappropriate breast exams.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch found that McDonald told the State Board
of Registration for Healing Arts that he was a diagnosed frotteur. That
is, someone who just can't help but rub up against people who don't want
their sexual organs handled by a crackpot doc.
Shockingly, the
board didn't suspend his license but just extended his probation until
2017 and made a mandatory suggestion that he visit a shrink.
But Old McDonald is still up to his old tricks, allegedly. Today, he stands accused of giving six of what authorities are calling
"unrequested breast exams."
In his latest female fondling, six
women in two separate counties, Dunklin County and Butler County, have
accused him of exactly the same thing. The M.D.'s M.O. hasn't changed either. All three
women in Butler County said they went to McDonald for an exam
required to get a prescription filled. Lt. David Sutton from the
Poplar Bluff police department said McDonald's superfluous mammary
examinations were conducted "in a manner which was not consistent with
their medical treatment." The Dunklin County women said they had
similar experiences.
These accusations are a direct violation of his probation, which states that McDonald
should not be entrusted with a pair of breasts without a chaperone.
But seriously? Probation? If 14 unwilling breasts and thousands of pills aren't enough to get McDonald's medical license permanently revoked, what is?
Ladies, hide your sex organs. McDonald is out on bond with explicit bond conditions: no contact with any
female patients. Just in case, better start polishing chest plate and chastity belt.
