Apparently harshing Johnson County's fake marijuana buzz wasn't enough for law enforcement in the Golden Ghetto.
Word comes from KCTV5 that authorities have snuffed out an alleged grow house operation at a home on West 71st Terrace in Prairie Village (and the story is full of the usual bits about P.V. not being a "typical neighborhood" for grow operations). If it's not a typical neighborhood for it, then why the hell wouldn't you?
Someone reportedly tipped off investigators who served a search warrant and found 45 marijuana plants and some processed pot. This got 35-year-old Tyler Frick reportedly charged with felony cultivation, possession of paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp. And really, on that last one, they're always going to get you.
JoCo Sheriff's Lt. Shaine Pennington told KCTV5 that "there was a strong odor of marijuana detected" when the search warrant was served.
"Living in Johnson County myself, I don't want marijuana in the county, and I don't believe citizens want it here, either," Pennington told the TV station.
Let's let the people decide. Johnson County, do you want pot in your neighborhood?

We most certainly want marijuana in this state. So do 58% of Kansans.
I'd rather have marijuana in my community than rampart alcohol and perscription pill use as we see today. I would rather see our officers spend their time better than busting someone for growing a perfectly safe plant. Don't we have rapists and murderers to arrest and prosecute?
Many people I talk to, again here in Kansas, are very much in favor of reforming our marijuana laws. It's time for our politicians to get the picture.
