Forgive us for this brief dunk into Entertainment Tonight territory, but according to blog Celebitchy.com, Kirstie Alley hauled her saddlebags to Wichita, Kansas, for a new weight-loss regimen. Which is sort of like going to Las Vegas to get sober, but to each her own.

According to a KWCH12 Eyewitness News story, Alley's sister teaches Zumba in Wichita and suggested that her famously fat sibling give it a try. Considering how a new fitness trend drops weekly (Weight Training With Your Toy Breed!), it's weird that Alley had to come to the dead center of the United States to try Jazzercise 2.0.

A Celebitchy reader in Wichita told the blog that everyone in town knows where Alley is staying: "It's two houses away from the Scientology center in the nicer, older area of town."

In other news: Wichita has a Scientology center. Whoa.

This is not news (Wichita's Scientology center). In the 1990s the "church" rented an old native American school near Newkirk, Oklahoma to bilk rich people needing to kick drugs.

I heard lithium water was a big fad among Scientologists in Clearwater,Fl, you wouldn't know anything about that, would you?

I'm a big fan of Kirstie's and those who cut her down are only displaying their own issues.
Apparently some people can't wrap their brains around the concept of the Mid-West or the people who live outside the Hollywood bubble, uhh, the rest of the world?
I can't wait for that bubble to implode due to toxicity.

Kirstie Alley will probably loose some weight, but probably will just gain it all back and then some. Seems to me that she is suffering from some kind of emotional problem, which is common among Scientology followers. She is indoctrinated to believe that her issues are caused by the souls, or "body thetans", of dead space aliens that have attached themselves to her body. How insane is that. Good luck Kirstie. Hope you get well soon (and leave that criminal cult).

I've known Kirstie for many years, and she used to be fun and fit. I think Scientology has made her life worse instead of better in many ways. It's all she wanted to talk about the last time we spoke on the phone.

Kirstie payed for the Scientology Center on East Douglas Street refered to in this article. That is a pure Hollywierd transplant to Wichita via Kirstie, which is why her local leir in town is just two doors away.

Kirstie has always lived two houses away from the Scientology Center. I think it's more of a question of which place came first...

Debate whether the article qualifies as "news", sure, but Kirstie Alley's entire career currently consists of self-induced fat-shaming and exploitation. It would be like not making fun of Kim Kardashian for fame-whoring when that is the only reason anyone knows who she is.

Eh, it's not hard news but in my opinion this post isn't particularly fat-shaming. Kirstie Alley herself has made hateful remarks about her size and other big people. Sad. =( It would be nice if people (women especially) would just focus on being healthy and loving themselves for who they are instead of putting so much emphasis on appearance and size.

Also, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed in the Plog for this post. I thought they would focus on news, but instead, decided to dedicate a post to fat-shaming someone famous just because they're three hours away.

This makes a lot more sense when you add it with the fact that Alley was born and raised in Wichita.

Why doesn't she just go on one of the beans and rice diets, coupled with with a lot of hard physical labor, that Scientology uses to punish lower-level staff members, people in the Sea Org.
