The most bizarre story of the day comes courtesy of KCTV5. Leawood police are trying to piece how a woman there died -- one day after police responded to a domestic-violence call.
Here's the deal, via KCTV5: Police get a call about domestic violence on Tuesday. They roll up to the woman's home on 154th Street in the Hills of Iron Horse subdivision. They arrest the woman's 62-year-old husband, John Slegman, charge him with domestic abuse and order him to stay away from his wife. The next day, Slegman's wife is found dead inside her home, and police arrest Slegman.
But before you start playing junior detective, know this: KCTV5 reports that police say they do not suspect foul play, and they're "leaning toward a natural death."
Given the events of the last few days, though, they're investigating just to be sure this is really a horrible coincidence.
