  • Vanesha Dillard's next pizza delivery won't come for 10 years.

Vanesha Dillard was wearing just a towel when the Pizza Hut delivery man showed up at a Northland apartment in October 2009.

The 62-year-old pizza man probably thought he was about to see a helluva tip -- until Devin Wood jumped him from behind and pushed him into the apartment.

The driver and 18-year-old Wood fought until Wood pulled a .9 mm handgun. Wood tied up the driver and took $20, not exactly worth it, eh? The story doesn't end there. Wood and Dillard then took the driver to his car, stuffed him in the trunk and drove off. After a half-hour, they let the driver go.

Dillard was sentenced Thursday to 10 years in prison, according to The Kansas City Star. Earlier this month, Wood was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

As The Joker said in the Dark Knight: "This

town deserves a better class of criminal." Really, the crimes people commit in the metro can be so petty

and stupid, but that's what makes them so terrifying.
