Ethel Hamilton accused of shooting and killing Lester Purvis in KCK

Ethel Hamilton is accused of shooting and killing Lester Purvis last Friday.

Hamilton, 61, was arrested at the scene of the shooting -- the 3200 block of North 35th Street in Kansas City, Kansas. She's charged with second-degree murder of the 62-year-old Purvis. Hamilton is being held at the Wyandotte County jail on $500,000 bond.



The KCKPD's Major Case Unit is still investigating the shooting. They're asking anyone with info to call 913-573-6020 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
