Today is Jordy Nelson's day. No, really. Today is "Jordy Nelson Day" in Kansas.
Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is signing a declaration this morning to name February 17, 2011, after the Kansas native, former Kansas State Wildcat and current Super Bowl Champion with the Green Bay Packers.
Eleven days ago, Nelson was Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers' favorite target, completing nine passes to the ex-Wildcat for 140 yards and a touchdown. The Packers won the game, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25.
The unfortunate fact of the matter is Jordy Nelson Day isn't a holiday. Back to work, Kansans.

The state of Kansas has produced so many stellar, white wide receivers that it is important to differentiate Jordy from the rest of the pack with his own day.
