If you missed last night's edition of The Rachel Maddow Show -- which was broadcast live from the Free State Brewing Company -- it's all online now (and after the jump). For anyone interested in Kansas politics -- and the cultural war over abortion in Kansas -- it's a show you really can't miss.
Rachel Maddow interviewed former Kansas abortion provider Kristin Neuhaus, a soft-spoken woman who explained the intimidation she faced from anti-abortion zealots and why she doesn't perform the LEGAL procedure in the Sunflower State.
Maddow also talks about the threats to doctor Mila Means, who was going to perform the legal medical procedure in Wichita, but due to a lawsuit and protests from Operation Rescue will not. It's hard to blame her after being sent a signed note last month that read, in part: "Thousands of people are already looking into your background, not just from Wichita, but all over the U.S. They will know your habits and routines. They know where you shop, who your friends are, what you drive, where you live. You will be checking under your car everyday because maybe today is the day someone places an explosive under it."
Intimidation like this is unacceptable, in the wake of abortion provider George Tiller's assassination in a Kansas church. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt should be all over threats like these so that we don't have a repeat of May 31, 2009. So should the KBI. So should the FBI. This is domestic terrorism, and state and federal authorities must prove that this won't be tolerated in Kansas or anywhere.

To connect the dots for Abe's comment above, it's the lesser of two evils. Babies dying because a doctor sucks it's brains out, or stopping the person who willfully performs this act. To me, Tiller was a case of what goes around, comes around.
Bill Hicks already pointed out the irony/craziness/absurdity of pro-life Christians wanting to kill people in 1992. Sad that nothing has been done in 19 years.
