Armin Hamidovic was sitting on a bed next to two women in a room at a Red Roof Inn on February 26. The Star, citing court records, reported that one of the women was the ex-girlfriend of 18-year-old Isaac Perdomo-Paz.
Perdomo-Paz and Hamidovic supposedly exchanged words, and court records say Perdomo-Paz "lifted his shirt, pulled a black handgun
from his waistband, extended his arm, pointing the gun towards Armin
with his finger on the trigger and made a motion" as if he were
"racking" the gun. Then Perdomo-Paz allegedly shot Hamidovic in the head. He's also accused of fatally shooting and killing Dejan Joksimovic and Delfino Elizondo. Both were shot in the head.
The three
homicide victims were partying in Independence prior to moving to a
room at a Northland Red Roof Inn. Police were called to the
hotel room around 3:19 a.m. The Star's report is a brutal read:

The body of Joksimovic, 18, was slumped over a chair near a bed. He was
pronounced dead at the scene.
Delfino Elizondo, 22 and a father of two, was lying on the second bed.
He was taken to a hospital and removed from life support early the next
day.
Authorities found five shell casings from a .380-caliber automatic.

Perdomo-Paz was arrested Monday on... court records said a witness told
police three men associated with the East Side Loco street gang were
present at the party. Another witness said she was warned not to talk to
police, according to court records. Prosecutors said a third witness
received an anonymous call telling her to go along with a story made up
for police or "get the same thing as the guys in the motel."
charges unrelated to the homicides (failure to appear and obstructing
police charges), but authorities called him a person of interest in
the triple homicide.
Clay County authorities charged Perdomo-Paz Thursday with three counts
of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal action.
