Let's try this again. My first-round predictions were far from perfect. How was I supposed to know that the NCAA was going to suspend Baylor's Perry Jones III just hours before the game? And who would have thought that Iowa State would blow a lead late? OK, after 31 games, I should have seen that second one coming. But today, I'm feeling good about my second-round prognostications.
With a .500 record, today is my redemption:
No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 9 Oklahoma State: The Jayhawks beat down the Cowboys in Lawrence earlier this season, and no change today. Bill Self's boys are going to bring hell to the Sprint Center, and Rock Chalk will roll over Okie State.
No. 4 Kansas State vs. No. 5 Colorado: The Buffaloes have had the Wildcats' number all season, hanging two L's on 'em. But the third time isn't a charm. The game is close, but Buffs players are so disturbed by Frank Martin's berating of his players that they're too distracted to compete. Jacob Pullen leads EMAW to a W and creates a scalper's dream ticket.
No. 2 Texas vs. No. 10 Oklahoma: The Sooners blew out the Baylor Bears, but their ride comes to an end against the rival Longhorns. Texas has been otherworldly, and today won't be any different.
No. 3 Texas A&M vs. No. 6 Missouri: The Tigers lost a close one in overtime in College Station in January. It'll be a tight one again, but the rested Aggies get the win. Mizzou just doesn't have much left after a close one with Texas Tech.
Check back tomorrow when I admit I'm wrong again (more than likely) and pick the final rounds.
Showing 1-2 of 2
K-State already beat the Cyclones twice ... and our season is over. What more do you want? Look what going out on a limb did for me yesterday. Missouri is the only upset I could possibly see. They should have destroyed Tech. I don't feel good about them at all.
Way to go out on a limb.
Also, you have the KSU-CU seeds mixed. This disrespect will not be tolerated.
