You're Nearly There: Christian Sex Education for Preteens

The Cover Promises: You're nearly there, so think about baseball. Also: Boys should wear shirts made of girls' skirts. Also: It's time for your Godly sex-talk, so bring the dog!
Representative Quote:
"Usually around twelve or thirteen, a boy will notice a 'growth spurt' and the penis and scrotum will grow larger and resemble those of his father." (page 28).
Well before the growth spurt during which a young man first learns that his penis resembles his father's, and his father's father's before him, parents too shy to talk about such things might give that boy a book like You're Nearly There, by Mary Kehle.
Kehle also addresses girls' development, of course, but she never suggests that 12-year-olds and their mothers should make an evening of comparing vaginas.
Incidentally, she is qualified to introduce children to the oily, budding world of puberty. At the time of You're Nearly There's publication, Kehle was a PhD candidate in psychology at Arizona State, a school that knows a thing or two about young people and doin' it.
Kehl offers some sensible advice, letting boys know that their breasts should not change during adolescence, suggesting that girls discuss menstruation with grown-ups before their first period, and reminding the unsightly and unpopular:
"Regardless of outward appearances, you are a beautiful and valuable person to God and those who love you."
Sometimes, your Crap Archivist detects more than one meaning in Kehle's language:
"Whatever the cause, a penis will not remain erect for long. Don't be concerned about it. It will soon return to its normal position."
Is there regret in that? Does it sound like she's used to counseling kids and grown women?
Kehle lavishes lots of attention on boys' unmentionables. Here, she ruins sweaters forever:
To illustrate the difference between penises that have and have not been circumcised, she shows us one slender fellow possessing both.
Remember: God loves us all, regardless of outside appearance!
Anyway, for me the most curious aspect of Kehle's book is her hopeful account of what may happen when a boy tells his parents that a wet dream has dirtied up his PJs.
"If Mom and Dad are wise, they will explain wet dreams to their sons just as they explained menstruation to their daughters."
(So, for a couple days each month a boy should wear a sanitary device to bed? Say a condom or a Styrofoam cup?)
"Also, Mom might tell her son, 'Don't worry about your pajamas when you have a wet dream. Just get up and change and then go back to sleep."
Mom might tell her son this? Am I crazy to think that she might also have less warm reactions, especially in a 1983 home-school house?
Even Kehle suggests that boys not push these confessions:
"While you may want to share this experience with your Dad or Mom the first time it happens, it is not necessary to tell them about it each time."
Noted! And here I thought we should log each emission on mom's chore chart!

Highlight:
Kehle is gentle but firm on controversial topics like VD, homosexuality ("not in [God's] plan"), and masturbation, which she states is "more frequent among boys" and likens to an infant's oral fixations.
"It's similar to a baby sucking on a bottle or on his thumb. He likes to do it. It feels good to him. However, as he grows and matures, we expect the need for sucking to disappear."

The future plans for our Republic has been well lain. Eventually, we will have three distinct levels of national society. The unknown ruling element will remain intact. Too, the unshakable middle class will stay afloat. As to the thinning, the slow climbers into the middle class will be completely eliminated. This will leave a national mob under the nation wide police state, as it expands today. All state and federal employees will receive the highest pay, in order to control them. Our Republic will be reconstructed, as to the have and those who have nothing but soup lines. Artificial inflation plus the professions striving from Medicare recipients will dwindle, while the undesirables are slowly fed poisoned food and the lack of medical care. A standing military will be well fed and clothed. This new dictator ship will be absolutely merciless. And the circus will proceed on its well planned events in crucifying any press club that fails to buckle down under physical and mental slavery!
IT IS EXPEDIENT THAT ONE SHOULD DIE TO SAVE A NATION

in allotting the money supply of specific nations that fell into the universal web of financial master minding.
Hedging forward, The League of Nations took root and disappeared, as the banksters moved forward the United
Nations Organization became a tool and weapon for International finance in nourishing the seeds of Bolshevism.
Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill were merely tools, puppets, leading America into moneytary's rule over
France, England, Germany and the Netherlands. America is at a junction of political whoredom’s abetting that
our nation’s super structure will better be served by Oriental fundamentalism’s ties to the Rothschild wealth
of which is approximately sixty-five percent of the earth’s riches. Here we have high treason for our so-called
representatives. of whom serve that nation that had taken an oath to survive.

THE GREAT RAPE OF AMERICAN PRODUCTIVITY AND INDIVIDUAL INGENUITY
“What this country needs is to protect the people’s hard earned wealth of creating ways to find employment for hundreds of whom are generally unemployed on low level qualifications. We are creating a class of parasites that are milking the working people out of their productive earnings through developing s parasitic clime of artificial, but unproductive element that depends on some federal handout called federal emergency programs that have taken over the flight industry in our nation.

America needs to tell Uncle Sam to get off of its haunches and get rid of all parasitic bums and leaches and let these dead beats find more productive work. It seems that nation wide laws enforcement has taken preference over a people’s ability to think straight. Law enforcement is an unproductive force that protect the great slum masters and loan sharks and political hounds of whom steal from every strong box in the nation’s capital. This country is going under from a form of liberalism that plays along with aimless parasitic laboring organizations that will aid in creating parasitic industries that are nothing but well organized drones on the backs of hard working and decent tax paying citizens.
All in all, national home Land Security is a front for liberalized political whorewdom
and its makeshift method to bleed productive America to the last fathering of honorable citizens. We need to get rid of SWAT and FEMA. as mere tools of an in an ever approaching incipient socialism designed to appease bums and dead beats working in all parasitic ares of federal and state governments. We do not need to wreck and cripple any national private industry by the artificial increments of ridiculous legal obstructions being subtly used to further an approaching socialists programing of digging the brains out of the public’s twisted intellect that Uncle Sam will not let the people down. We should level down national security in giving each state the right to guard the people’s security to the proper level of individual responsibility. The present encroaching police state under the cover of Home Land Security is nothing less than a pro Marxist scheme to further incipient Bolshevism in causing the state to wither away, in replacing capitalism with the ever creeping of Oriental religious philosophies into the American republic.
Some has Sigmund Freud's religious options in their back pocket. Good advice for these birds to read " Psychiatry in Transition." To play the Oedipus game is reverse of self-indoctrination, at the bottom most aspects of intellectual rot.
