KU may top most people's NCAA brackets, but broadcasters seem to be having a hard time keeping track of identically tattooed juggernauts Markieff and Marcus Morris. At least twice during last night's Fighting Illini extermination, veteran ball caller Marv Albert referred to the two Jayhawks as "the Marcus twins." It happened during Friday's game, too.
Albert's not alone; other commentators have similarly confused the
twins' names and stats all season. And let's keep things in perspective.
I'd rather listen to Albert read the phone book while he sits for a
dental mold and a DNA swab than hear Dick Vitale call a KU game.
Commenters, let's hear your suggestions for drinking games centered on broadcast-booth fuckups.

Bob Davis never saw a Jayhawk foul. He always says something like "Oh! They say Moris fouled him."
mute the tv, listen to Bob Davis on the Jayhawk Radio Network. easy fix.
After sitting through an entire season of games called by Bob Knight and his Brent "The Sycophant" Musberger, Marv Albert and Steve Kerr are delightful. I also give them a bit of a pass because they have to call (and prep for) multiple games in one day.
If you want to get hammered, watch Monday Night Football and drink any time Jon Gruden says, "I love this [guy/play call/coach]."
