Sharon Sanders Brooks was the only incumbent council member to lose an election last night. Her 3rd District seat was won by Jermaine Reed.

Let's not forget the good times we had with Brooks, who in March 2009 waved around a bra and panties during a Planning

and Zoning Committee meeting while feigning shock that women would actually wear them in public (relive the moment after the jump).

Also Tuesday, six incumbents -- Russ Johnson (2nd District), Ed Ford (2nd District at large), Melba Curls (3rd District at large), Jan Marcason (4th District), Cindy Circo (5th District at large) and John Sharp (6th District) -- retained their seats.

Other winners: Dick Davis (1st District), Scott Wagner (1st District at large), Jim Glover (4th District at large) and Scott Taylor (6th District at large). The Star reported that Michael Brooks looked like the 5th District race winner over Ken Bacchus, but it was really close.
