If you've been wondering when the man suspected in several rapes in the Waldo area will go on trial, wonder no more. Bernard Jackson's jury trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. July 18. The trial is expected to last two weeks.
Jury selection is expected to take place two weeks prior to the trial. Jackson is also scheduled for a pretrial conference on May 27.
Jackson is accused of four rapes in the Waldo area that occurred in the 1980s. In February, he was charged with 22 counts related to two of the five "modern"
Waldo rape cases, for which he'd been considered a "person of interest" since last May.
