Original Story (April 8): I've never seen a foot-long butcher knife, but that has to be a scary sight. Hell, Kansas City police even told Fox 4 that the knife looked like something out of a horror movie. An apartment resident stabbed a would-be robber twice in the stomach with the knife early this morning at 44th and Virginia.
butcher knife = nothing to eff with.
The apartment dweller told Fox 4 that he'd been robbed three times in the last week. So he put up a mattress to block a window. The man heard someone knocking over the mattress around 4:30 a.m. Tired of being robbed, the man grabbed his butcher knife.
"I heard the mattress fall, being pushed down, from the back window," the unnamed man told Fox 4. "So I got up and grabbed my butcher knife and snuck to the middle of my apartment, and I seen him, and he was facing the outside of the window talking to somebody outside; he had somebody else with him. That's when I grabbed him and I stabbed him."This guy + a foot-long
The man didn't just stab him once. He stabbed the guy twice. The would-be robber took off running, but police tracked him down a short time later suffering life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to a local hospital. No word on the suspect's condition. Police already cleared the butcher-knife-wielding apartment dweller.
