Potheads, be careful as you celebrate 4/20. Kansas City police will be patrolling the roads looking for high drivers and handing out DUIs.
April 20, or 4/20, is the pot smokers' holiday. I just got a press release from the KCPD saying they'll "saturate the roadways" looking for drivers who are high. More specifically, they'll keep an eye out around schools, parks and "locations known for drug use."
"People need to recognize that a DUI is not just from alcohol," Sgt.
Daniel Graves said in the statement. "Driving high is just as deadly."
Apparently, some parents still don't know the meaning of 4/20.
"It's in all kinds of rap, hip-hop and rock songs your kids may be listening to," Graves said in the statement. "We're finding that many parents don't realize this code."
For those who are celebrating, legalization group KC NORML's website says longtime marijuana-policy reform activist Sean Randall will speak at the University of Missouri-Kansas City's University Playhouse from 1 to 3 p.m. There'll be more events around town. Keep an eye on KC NORML's website.

Funny thing is, I only saw one cop on my way to the event at It's A Beautiful Day. Saturation my ass. It was just a distraction tactic so they could bust all those grow ops.

Visine and Gum. Further more, what about folks who do this sort of thing on a daily basis? Are they saying they don't care during the other 364 days a year? What kind of message is this sending? Maybe we should all get so baked that we forget to celebrate in time, and its suddenly 4/21. That will stick it to the man. Stay thirsty, my friends.
