Clay County prosecutors have charged creepily named KCMO man William M. Shivers with first-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, Julie A. Johnson.
According to court records, police believe that Shivers asphyxiated Johnson sometime between Monday and Tuesday, then called his ex-wife and confessed. The ex-wife's boyfriend did what every sane boyfriend should do when your girl's ex calls to say he murdered someone. He called the cops.
Police found Johnson's body at a house on the 10300 block of North Tracy Avenue early Tuesday morning.
