  • David Beckham added the finishing touches to Sporting's latest poor game.

At this point in Sporting Kansas City's epic 10-game road trip to start the MLS season, even fans who bleed Sporting Blue must be wondering why the team isn't performing better. Take Saturday night's game. Sporting initially took the lead, only to give it back on a Landon Donovan penalty kick just before halftime.

And act two of the contest was a total disaster. But perhaps no moment so far this season has made SKC (1-5-1, last place in the Eastern Conference) look or feel worse than this dagger from the L.A. Galaxy's David Beckham, to put his team ahead 4-1. He tucks it beautifully into the top-left corner of the goal, right around the post. Watch and cringe after the jump.

Beckham's surprised and smirking face pretty much says it all. SKC's June 9 home opener can't get here soon enough.

The shot is up for MLS's goal of the week.
