Kansas City Police Chief Jim Corwin will retire in September. The Star reported today that Corwin is leaving after 32 years on the force (seven years as chief).

Corwin confirmed it to the daily but didn't go into detail (he wanted to talk to the force first). So who's next?

The Star lists several deputy chiefs as potential replacements: Darryl Forte, Kevin Masters and Cy Ritter. But the police board will be accepting applications soon. Anyone want to be the top lawman in the Killa City?

Corwin's last day is set for September 16.
