All of the credit for this photo doctoring goes to Mark Kelly. The original photo was thrown up on Facebook last night via KSHB Channel 41's Gary Lezak. This (and another photo) are getting shared on Facebook pages in Kansas City right now (check out the other after the jump).
This second Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is from Elie Smith.
Scott Cook. He's selling 8x10 prints for $15 through Paypal (scottcookmail@gmail.com) with all of the proceeds going to the Joplin storm victims.

That's frickin' awesome! LOVE how "Ghostbusters" it looks!
I was downtown at 1:00 pm on the 24th and the clouds were definitely not green. They were dark and scary, but not green.
the green is from the ice crystals in the hail at that altitude....
plus green skies are not very rare ... It usually followed by hail... Which we got a ton of!
I saw these turquoise green clouds rolling through and it was very real.
we were with the photographer when he took this. Downtown was horribly green and murky. I posted his info in the comments section. He'd love to hear from you.

Credit where credit is due... here's the photographer and because this photo has become so viral, he's selling copies and proceeds go to the Joplin relief effort. And no... the photo was never doctored. it was that creepy and green yesterday downtown.
From photographer Scott Cook: if you would like an 8X10 of this print, please send $15 to his paypal acct, scottcookmail@gmail.com and include your address. Proceeds will be donated to Joplin, MO Tornado Recovery.
I saw the original when Mark Kelly put it on his wall. I made a comment about how someone should photoshop the Marshmallow Man. Well, as I was making my version, Mark made one as well! LOL.
As for the original photo...AMAZING shot! I'm a photographer too. I also know that during a thunderstorm, light hitting rain or hail can give off a greenish tint...so other then maybe a little more contrast then normal. I would say, not much editing went into the original photo. IMO.
I agree with Tracy.... the color balance is off... as one who uses Photoshop daily there is excessive green in the whole image.
Thanks for the info Kendall!
It's truly a breathtaking shot.
Good work Kendall! It's getting ridiculous how much that picture is going around and he's not getting any credit
Scott Cook took that photo, not Gary Lezak. If you want an 8x10, he will mail you one. Just paypal $15 to scottcookmail@gmail.com. All proceeds go to benefit victims of the Joplin storm.
I can tell you with all honesty, that this is how the clouds looked. I live and work downtown, went to walk my dog and saw the clouds looking just like this.
don't you think the "original" was doctored, too? someone seems to have messed with the levels a little.
i was outside at that same time yesterday, watching the clouds roll in, and the clouds looked grey and white to me.
i _know_ that things get greenish when there are tornadoes, but this is over-the-top.
