  • Aaron Clay gets life in prison and no parole for 20 years.

Aaron Clay won't be on the streets for at least 30 years. Clay was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 20 years for the first-degree murder of Javier

Reynoza in January 2010.

Clay, 31, also received a consecutive sentence of 120 months for attempted

aggravated robbery and a concurrent sentence of eight months for

criminal possession of a firearm.

A Wyandotte County jury convicted Clay of all three charges in April.

Reynoza, 37, was shot to death on January 2, 2010. In February

2010, Clay, Jessica

Jones (who was later shot and killed by Kansas City police) and

another man were stopped by Kansas City police. Clay and Earl

West were both charged with first-degree murder in Reynoza's

death.

At the time, authorities also wanted to question a woman

named Annicka Martinez, but her

body was found in a burning car in Lafayette County, Missouri, on

January 11, 2010.
