More sad news from Joplin. Missing teen YouTube celeb Will
Norton was confirmed among the dead on Friday. Norton's family made the announcement on the "Help Find Will Norton" Facebook page.
A week after the twister that killed 139, tattoo artist Kat Von D unveiled
the tribute sketch above, according to Suite101.com.
Norton was a huge fan of hers. In October 2010, he posted a video about his Von D obsession and getting to see her at her L.A. tattoo parlor.
Norton's aunt, Tracey Presslor, wrote an appreciative message on the Facebook page:
I'm
filled with joy knowing she would do that for him. In a time of
tragedy goodness can reign. God bless to you and all those with a
loving heart and to those that need their hearts healed. Aunt Tracey
Norton, 18, was trying to beat the tornado home after his high school graduation. He was in his Hummer H3 with his father, Mark, when the twister caught them, flipping the vehicle. Will Norton's seatbelt snapped, and his father struggled to hang on to him, but he was sucked out of the SUV's sunroof. Norton's body was found in a pond a short distance from where his Hummer
crashed.
Norton's family announced his death on the Facebook page on May 27.
Everyone,
tonight is a sad night for us. I'm sorry to tell you that Will was
found but he was not alive. We are grieving deeply. It brightens our
lives to know that even in his passing he touched lives. We will write
more soon but tonight we will mourn as a family. Please pray for Mark,
Trish and Sara as well as my parents. God bless you all. Please pray for
those still lost and hurting. Aunt Tracey
