UPDATE (3:47 p.m.): Ronald Oliver, 40, was the victim of last night's homicide. Police say charges are still pending. According to the Star, Oliver and another man got into an argument during last night's NBA Finals game between the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. The other man allegedly stabbed Oliver, who was seated in a chair, in the chest.

Original Story:
Kansas City, Missouri, recorded yet another homicide overnight. Around 9 p.m., a man in his mid-20s was stabbed to death inside a home in the 3300 block of East 30th Street.

Police took a suspect into custody at the scene without incident. The suspect's name hasn't been release, but he is described as a black man in his late 20s.

The victim's name also hasn't been released. We'll probably learn it in the next 24 hours or so after his family has been notified.

This is Kansas City, Missouri's 38th homicide of 2011. At the same time last year, the city had 45 homicides.

More when we know it.
