UPDATE (9:41 a.m.): The victim of Saturday night's homicide on North 38th Street is 21-year-old Carlos Hernandez of KCK.
The victim of Sunday morning's homicide on North 34th Street has been identified as 46-year-old Anthony Mims of KCK.
Original Story (5 a.m.): Kansas City, Kansas, homicide detectives investigated two killings over the weekend. The first came Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. when an unnamed man was found shot to death in the 1400 block of North 38th Street, according to the Star. There were few details in that case.
The second homicide came Sunday morning at 11 when an unnamed man was found shot to death in the 1100 block of North 34th Street. The victim is described as a black man in his 40s. He wasn't the only person shot.
A second shooting victim showed up at the scene a short time later with non-life-threatening injuries.
