Former Mayor Mark Funkhouser announced on Facebook today that he's taken a job with a think tank in Washington, D.C.
Funkhouser wrote: "I've taken a job as the Director of the Governing Institute in Washington DC. The Institute advances better government by focusing on improved outcomes through research, decision support and executive education. I really appreciated serving the citizens of KC, the town where my children grew up. Now I'm looking forward to working on a broader scale to improve government by serving those who serve."
Last week, Tony's Kansas City reported that Funkhouser had put his Brookside home up for rent -- for a whopping $3,200 a month. Uh, good luck getting someone at that price.

Funk is going to help "better government?" I thought his contribution was getting voted out of office...
$3,200 after knowing what those two probably did in that house? Bad enough we had to hear about it in the press (shudder) ugh. Just tear it down. The walls probably are not able to talk but just in case...
He'll be fired in no time after his racist wife starts running her mouth.
