Three homicides over the weekend bring total to 54 for 2011 (updated)

It was a deadly weekend in Kansas City, Missouri, with three homicides in two days. The bloodshed began Saturday evening when a man was found shot in the 3500 block of East 34th. The unnamed man was rushed to a hospital around 8:30 p.m. where he was pronounced dead. UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Lealon Muldrow II.

The second homicide occurred at 38th and Flora around 2 a.m. Saturday. An unnamed man was found shot to death inside a vehicle. UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Jerry Johnson.

The third homicide investigation began around noon Sunday. An unnamed woman was found dead inside a room at the Relax Inn at 6300 Blue Parkway. Police say their initial investigation showed that the woman died from "unnatural causes."
