  • Bubba Starling still has a big decision to make.

Bubba Starling still hasn't decided whether to sign a multimillion-dollar contract with the Kansas City Royals or go to college and play football and baseball for the University of Nebraska. The former Gardner Edgerton star really is in a no-lose situation.

But if Starling's 21-year-old sister Jamie had her choice, he'd be going big red.

Jamie told The Chattanoogan: "He doesn't want my advice. I'm just his sister. He thinks I'm crazy. But I want him to go to Nebraska. We've never had that. We're not KU fans. We're not K-State fans. We've never had a team. Since he signed, we're Cornhuskers. Let's go. This is awesome."

The takeaway for Royals fans, at least she says he doesn't listen to her.

As for his mother, she says it's up to Bubba.

"He'll tell you it's a family decision," his mother told the paper, "but it's his decision and we'll support him. Yeah, we'll tell him if we think it's stupid, but he's the one who's got to do all this."

So yeah, it's up to Bubba.

H/t: SB Nation Kansas City.

and we have to assume you're an expert on not only 2 sport athletes but also world class idiots because of what?  must be because you're tall.  you should be posting on the Star site, where name calling rants are welcome and the norm

So this constitutes journalism?  This guy is almost ready to move to the Star.  What does his dog want?  What about his Aunt Betty?  Inquiring minds want to know....what a waste of space.

Actually, there are tons of two sport athletes.  Most have the common sense to take the money and pursue that dream.  Sure, he can go to Nebraska, but what if a LB blows out his knee when he's rushing the ball?  I'll tell you what that mean, the end of his chance to excel in either sport.  It's not rocket science, you take the money.  If for some reason baseball doesn't work out, he can go back to school and play football. Lots of kids do it.

Oh, and by the way, this kid is fresh out of high school, you sure are setting the bar high saying he can be one of the best players in the history of the two sports.  He's never played against any players of his caliber.

You are al world class stupid idiot.   You can't comprehend his decision idiot.  There haven't been many two sport world class athletes and he has a chance to become one of the best players in the history of the two sports.

Why would anyone want to play football at Nebraska? Unless getting called a "pussy faggot" by Bo Pelini is your thing......

He'd be a world class idiot if he didn't sign with the Royals.  He'd get $8-9 million to sign and if one day he decided he wanted to go back to college if it didn't work out in the minors, he could.  But, if he gets hurt in college, kiss all that money goodbye.
