Hope Solo groupies, you'll get a chance to see the goalie up close this September in KCK.

The U.S. Women's National Soccer Team will play against Canada at Livestrong Sporting Park on September 17. This will be the women's first match since losing to Japan in the finals of the Women's World Cup. Oh, and how could I forget about Abby Wambach and her scoring heroics.

Solo made me a fan after seeing her on (I believe) ESPN's news magazine, E:60. I can't find the video, but Solo was interviewed about her comments questioning her coach's decision to bench her in the semifinals of the 2007 World Cup after starting every game. Solo expressed remorse and is an easy person to rally behind.

Canada, eh, was knocked out of the first round of the World Cup. The Canadians have only beat the United States three times in history. Earlier this year, the United States beat 'em 2-1 in the Four Nations Tournament in China.

Tickets go on sale to the public August 12 at 10 a.m. But Sporting Kansas City season-ticket holders will get the first crack at them with a presale today at 10 a.m. They're $22.
