Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is denying allegations of a former Penthouse Pet and stripper — and blaming Gov. Jay Nixon for the sort-of scandal.

Kinder (or his press secretary) writes: "Like most people I am not proud of every place I have been but this woman's bizarre story is not true. The Democrats have tried to use these tactics against me in the past and they have failed. Jay Nixon may want to make up false stories about the past, but I, like most Missourians, remain focused on the issues that are important to Missourians like jobs and education."

There's more, but it's all Kinder railing on Nixon, who didn't start this.

This all began when our friends at the Riverfront Times posted the photo on the right of Kinder and Tammy Chapman. Chapman later did an interview with the RFT, saying Kinder was her best customer when she was a stripper but also saying Kinder got rough with her during private dances. Turns out, he was chasing Amy.

Chapman refuted Kinder's response on Facebook (via Fired Up! Missouri):

Oh, who to believe?
