Hey, its a streetcar!
  • Hey, it's a streetcar!
If you're interested in checking out a "modern streetcar," head over to Union Station before 5 p.m. The Kansas City Regional Transit Alliance is throwing a "modern streetcar party," and I'm pretty sure I just witnessed two children running away from Kansas City Chiefs mascot KC Wolf (he probably just wanted to tell them about abstinence).

The streetcar is parked on Pershing Road in front of Union Station, and you'll be able to take a tour. There's plenty more planned for this afternoon, including an appearance by Mayor Sly James at 5:30 p.m. and a performance by Quixotic Fusion at 6 p.m. (you gotta register here to see Quixotic).

Whatever. If you want to actually enjoy a streetcar, head over to Streetcar Named Desire in Crown Center and get a stiff drink. The people watching is lovely.
