Kyle James: Problem child?
  • Kyle James: Problem child?
About a month after acting like a spoiled and privileged rich kid during a run-in with police in the Power & Light District, Mayor Sly James' son Kyle is now accused of punching a woman in the face during a melee at The Point bar.

Fox 4 reported last night that the mayor's 23-year-old son is accused of hitting a 22-year-old woman from Lee's Summit during a fight at the bar. In an interview with the TV station, the woman claimed that a friend of the mayor's son told her that Kyle James punched her. That friend was an unnamed member of the Kansas City Chiefs, according to the woman.

The woman also picked James out of a photo lineup for police.

KMBC Channel 9 reported that Kyle James turned himself in to police last night. He was bailed out a short time later.

No word yet from the mayor on his son's latest alleged issues. UPDATE: Here's the statement from Mayor Sly James' spokesman, Danny Rotert: "To ensure that both Kyle and his accuser get a fair day in municipal court, the Mayor will not have any comments on the matter now pending. Thank you for your understanding in what is a difficult time for all involved."

In the Power & Light incident, James was accused of refusing to pay for food that he ordered from Fran's Restaurant. He also threatened the job of a cop who handcuffed him and he repeatedly asked the officer if he "knew who he was." There's a whole lot more to the incident, including Kyle James allegedly picking a fight with three men outside the restaurant, telling them that he'd "fuck them like that sweet sixth-grade pussy on the playground."

Kyle James made a public apology after the Power & Light incident.

“This is not the first time I have apologized for what I have done and quite possibly it won’t be the last," Kyle James said in a statement (via the Star).

We can't say he didn't warn us.

He just needs a place to play midnight basketball, he' underprivileged and needs a city sponsored outlet. We certainly don't want him wilding on the Plaza do we? Maybe the justice system can provide an appropriate gated community for him to relocate to......one can only hope.

He should honestly move out of the city where he has few nepotistic opportunities. He should integrate into society as a working man, without his artificial friends. He should stop hitting women in the face, too.

I like how his facebook photo appears to be him punching some girl in the face. He really needs to stop with the fist to face issues. That schtick is getting old.

This problem runs in the James family. His other son also has a history of hitting women.

It's nice to have another Larry Johnson in town! Is his unnamed Chief's friend the waterboy or a player? Umm, don't think he should have been out that late if he is on the team.

Put some time into thinking about what can help the KCMO economy (get a real job and stop blogging and livin' off the gov checks.) and what YOU can do to help those less fortunate.. instead of sitting on this blog wasting your time and mine. forget this kid. stop hatin'. WHO CARES?! -To all of you getting caught up in the GOSSIP watch TMZ..they have days of gossip---I might add none of this gossip/hatin' will make you feel any better about your short comings. Has anyone considered that this kid/jackass/young adult/man might have a mental disorder? ... I am not one to speculate but, I am a relative to someone who has had similar problems and I have witnessed this kid out..the similarities are there.

I don't condone what Kyle did or didn't do, nor do I really care. But let's be honest, this girl sought out the media, has been posting about this left and right on FB, posts pics of her with her t*ts hanging out, is a cleat chaser, and now wants to make a name for herself. She's a fat tramp, nothing more. Kyle is scum. Forget both of them.

You can pick your friends, but for better or worse you cannot choose your family. Sounds like Kyle has enough friends to bail him out and sustain this disaster of lifestyle, so this will persist as a PIA for the mayor until that moneytrain ends. It's not clear that mom & pop still support the kid, so dragging their names into this seems moot despite the kids insistence on doing so.

He must be really upset about the new curfew which keeps him from getting that "sweet sixth grade... " action. Women his age don't want anything to do with this tard.

If he keeps taking classes at the Larry Johnson school of 'gangsta wanna bes' then he's going to end up like the real gangstas - a nice cold slab in the morgue.

don't trust those hazel eyes !

I can only hope the woman sues the pants off him.

Wait! No, he'd like permission to take his pants off in front of us all.

She might have to go to St. Louis or Jefferson City to get a attorney to state her case.

He is indeed a low life and if his Father continues to allow him to raise hell, the Father becomes a lower life

Sly,

Time to quit worrying about your public image and be a parent. Junior obviously needs to learn there are consequences for his actions. Let him do his time and maybe he'll come out better. Doubtful though.

This is strange because all his friends said that the last time he did this he was truly sorry and issued that honest heart felt apology. This guy is a fucking douchebag and I'm sure this isnt the last time he will be a featured story.

its just a boy trying to be a man living in his fathers shadow. All he needs to do is grow up and be his own man. Next time, leave his Ass is jail. And as for chasing white women, leave the trashers alone. They really dont want you they just want to be seen. You can't trust the blued eyed devils.

Hanging out with football players, and acting like LJ.

Does this punk even have a job? Full time student?

Or is he just wannabe gangster, hanging out in clubs all night, dick-wagging after white women?
