Sen. Claire McCaskill mocked over letters on The Daily Show

Posted by Ben Palosaari on Thu, Sep 8, 2011 at 9:42 AM

The United States Postal Service is in a dire financial situation. It might even shut down, which has Sen. Claire McCaskill all upset. During a hearing, Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe said the USPS seriously needs to consider laying off 200,000 people, but that stop-gap measures just wouldn't save the mail.

McCaskill had a different idea. She likes letters. Furthermore, Clairebear says, she didn't like it none too much when her kids would ask for money over text. So she has a suggestion: The USPS should start a marketing campaign to show Americans how awesome letter writing is. As the clip above shows, Jon Stewart thought that was a goofy idea.

Claire is not noted for being the sharpest pencil in the box, brightest bulb in the house, or having any sort of common sense. Between avoiding her constituents and being a complete puppet for the current administration she has proven herself to be just another unimaginative unoriginal outdated liberal fool.

@ justthefacts...when in doubt engage in name-calling and character assassination. I guess it beats the hell out of having to think. Btw, I do not care for Claire. However, can you prove your point with actual logic? There is plenty of fault to find with her.

Air-Claire is just full of fantastic ideas! Last week she decided that in order to bring jobs back to the USA, all call center personal should have to identify their location when answering your calls . . . WHAT?

Her logic behind this would be that we would stop buying products from companies that used overseas call centers for tech support, etc. Gee, she and all the other globalist have been encouraging us to EMBRACE the whole global economy - now, (and even in Obama's jobs bill speech tonight) we are hearing, "Let's make it here in the USA"! Seems kind of late for that novel idea. Last week, after she toured Missouri manufacturing plants, she decided that there weren't enough skilled workers to fill the MANY AVAILABLE jobs. The lack of skill (wait for this) was that applicants didn't have basic algebra skills. But, what about those unemployeed college graduates? Don't they have basic algebra skills?

I can't wait for 2012 to vote her out of office and (if possible) the state.
