Sarah Palin is a zombie? Yep, and you gotta kill her, Wichita's Koch brothers, Michele Bachmann and Glenn Beck

For the last hour, I've been playing Tea Party Zombies Must Die. It's an online video game in which you must kill the reanimated corpses of extreme right-wingers like Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck and Wichita's billionaire Koch brothers.

From experience, I'll say the two-headed Koch brothers kicked my ass. I couldn't reload my shotgun fast enough, and the Kochs pummeled me with their four fist death punches. The game actually takes you into the supposed offices of Koch Industries, where you must maneuver around giant stacks of money to kill the dreaded "Koch Whore" lobbyist pig zombie and Koch Industries climate change denial toxic zombie before taking on the Koch brothers, who reminded me of Goro in Mortal Kombat.

As you can imagine, Koch Industries wasn't too happy with the game, releasing a statement to KAKE TV, which read:

"This alarming video game is an example of the vitriol from the extreme left that has become commonplace in today's political rhetoric. It seems that language and imagery of violence, as witnessed earlier this year when protestors at a Common Cause rally called for various violent acts, including for the lynching of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and his wife, have replaced civil discussion about issues that matter to the majority of Americans such as jobs and the economy. Despite these distractions, as a proud employer here in Kansas and in the United States, Koch Industries remains committed to responsible corporate practices that in turn will create jobs and grow the economy to benefit every American."

Not exactly sure how to feel about the game, especially if, say, it was killing zombie Obamas (and as a commenter pointed out, it's in especially bad taste after the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords). But this is all about survival. If you're not willing to fight off the brain-hungry hordes, then you'll be joining them. I won't spoil the death message for you, but it's clever.

Now you have something to kill the hours until quitting time.

Absolutely disgusting. Who thinks up this sh*#? Isn't there enough bad in the world without promoting more? People are sick

There is no way responsible, intelligent individuals will endorse this game (or this type of game), regardless of political orientation. I'm frustrated that the editors of the Pitch couldn't spike this story and demand something more substantive. Kendall, you think it's funny? Really? And your response is "go make a video game with zombie Kendalls to shoot"? Please.

I happen to vehemently oppose the politics of the people featured in this game, but making ANY living human beings into targets in a shoot-em-up is just fucking stupid. Full stop. What's hard to understand about that? Politics doesn't (or shouldn't) enter into it.

The comments referencing Giffords are spot on.

Yes, I'd have to agree w/ Keith and others on here who have stated that promoting violence in ANY form against another living being (animal, mineral or human) is just plain WRONG!

WOW, how truly sick our culture has become!

My kid was shot in the temple with a BB Gun in a drive by shooting last Spring. I'm sure whoever did it thought it was funny as they sped away. It cost me over $1,600 after medical bills (with insurance) but I'd pay it in a heartbeat because I'm just thankful he's not dead. Oh, and I live in the infamous Johnson County, but I'm not rich. Obviously it's not like I live in the "hood".

Maybe someone will come find you Chris Campbell, or Joe Gold, maybe you Grasshopper, put a shotgun up your backside and pull the trigger. I'd just be killing some disgusting left or rightwing zombies - right!?!

This kind of trash is what is destroying our country. Some of you a$$holes think it's funny!!!??? It's f_cking sick!

What a bunch of whiners. Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter and Rush Limburger can all spew hate but let one little funny game get out and the right wing pussies all get their panties in a bunch. It's free speech, morons. Satire. Funny because it's true. Go cry in your tea pot if you can't handle it. Wah.

Can't we all agree that encouraging violence against anyone is wrong?

This is a bad idea in too numerous ways to count. irresponsible to promote or even write about it. Use your head people.

No one's endorsing the game. But if you're so bummed about it, feel free to create your own and kill Zombie Justin Kendalls. Oh, and send the address. I'd love to play it.

I'm very much in the middle of the political spectrum. I think this is funny, just like I would think it was funny if the game was about killing Communist Obamas and Pelosis. What gets me, though, is that there's absolutely no balance when reporting about this kind of stuff. When Right Wing advocates are getting killed, it's funny. But if Left Wing advocates are getting killed, suddenly it's an atrocious racist hate crime. It's fine to have opinions, and everyone is entitled to one, but i hate that only one side of political arguments ever gets heard or taken seriously. I wish there was more balance in our system

Typical left-wing, liberal spew. Can't debate issues so make up lies, and advocate a zero-taste game like this. And, of course this left-wing rag has to glorify it. What if the game involved "Brain-dead/zombie Obummers, and other commie-elitist?" Instead of "Tea-Party Zombies must die," it could be "Douche-bag Party Zombies Must Die."

What a hack piece of "journalism."

Imagine if it was a game Liberal radicals must die. Obama, Pelosi, Reed. We would have a Washington and media hissy fit. Now it's tongue in cheek. Oh it's just fun. shameful.

Ah, something that both sides of the political spectrum can agree on.

Keith Olbermann feels that this game is a bad idea, and proved his point by placing the game makers on his "Worst Persons" list. His rationale was that, in an already heated political environment, there was no place for stuff like this, which could incite an unbalanced person (like the lowlife who shot Congresswoman Giffords earlier this year) to violence.
