Sam Brownback endorses Rick Perry for president ... derp

In possibly the least surprising presidential endorsement of the year, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has endorsed Texas Gov. and former Texas A&M yell leader Rick Perry. Brownback cited Perry's record on creating jobs and reducing taxes in a news release giving Perry his personal seal of approval, the Wichita Eagle reported.

Yeah, jobs and taxes. I'm sure social issues weren't a consideration at all.

"Rick Perry is the right leader for this moment in history," Brownback's statement read. "Now, more than ever, America needs a president who knows how to create jobs and stop Washington’s runaway spending."

In August, Brownback vacationed at Perry's creepy "The Response" prayer rally in Houston. Brownback prayed and fasted at the rally, which included a who's who of religious homophobes.

I actually am thankful the Pitch hates theocrats. Someone needs to hold them accountable and reveal them for the disgusting wannabe tyrants they are.

In order for Justin Kendall to NOT criticize Brownback, the prayer rally should have been held at a mosque. But, we all know that criticizing Muslims IN EXACTLY THE SAME EDITORIAL FASHION would probably get him killed. Damn those intolerant Christians!

There's rumors that if Perry is the Repub nom he'll run with Brownback as VP.

While it would be nice to get rid of Brownie, that wouldn't be the way to do it.
