Royals’ assistant GM J.J. Picollo sounded like a disappointed daddy in his comments to the Star.
"Our players put themselves in a bad spot," Picollo said. "They made a poor decision in having a beer under age. It’s something most teenagers deal with, but we’re disappointed that they put themselves in this position.”
I blame professional baseball. No way would this ever have happened on a college campus in, say, Lincoln, Nebraska. Right.
To their credit, Starling and friends had a designated driver. And none of 'em tested over the legal limit.

Nathan Damron, the reporter was being sarcastic, dumbass.
What a great opportunity for a big ad contract! I can see it now: "Bubba Loves Bud." Or:
"I can't drink now but when I turn 21 it will be Bud!" Or:
"When I sneak a drink, I sneak a Bud!"
Lets all condemn his actions as the only teenager in America to drink. I wonder why the names of the other teens with him were not published? They guy with the multi-million contract is newsworthy only because of his contract. Its like the others weren't there!
Seriously? You think the kids back here in KC don't already underage drink and prolly much worse. Bubba Starling getting caught isn't going to make a kid wanna go out and drink, seeing commercials where they constantly make it look like you'll instantly get laid and be cool if you drink is what makes kids wanna drink.
