Jermaine Reed apparently hasn't listened to Chris Rock's take on Martin Luther King Boulevard (NSFW video)

City Councilman Jermaine Reed says he wants the city to rename Prospect Avenue after civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. Apparently Reed has never heard Chris Rock's take on Martin Luther King Boulevard (skip to the 1:24 mark of the NSFW video above). After last night's double homicide on Prospect, it's hard to argue with Rock's advice: Run!

people in KC know that parts of Troost and "the" Paseo are dangerous, but those from out of town don't. So....I'm for all the streets in the Hood in every city to be named Sharptongue Way, Jesse Who's Your Daddy Jackson Drive and MLK Blvd.....this is only fair to unsuspecting out of towners.

A rose by any other name...

Another shiny bauble to distract the masses while this runaway train rushes to its destruction.

Dr King spins like a dreidel in his grave every time one of these grifters uses his name to try and pull the wool over the eyes of people.

This and a 1000-room hotel, yeah that's gonna change what is going on here.

are you kidding me! while am not in agreement with the name change, I certainly feel that your story is racial, while there was a shooting and murder on prospect yesterday, please do your research on prospect murder's as well as other sureending streets and cities and then write your story
