75 pounds of marijuana seized in Interstate 70 traffic stop

This is what 75 pounds of marijuana look like. The Missouri Highway Patrol seized it Thursday from a 1997 Fleetwood motorhome during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Montgomery County.

A K-9 cop named Puki sniffed out the pot. Troopers searched the vehicle. The pot was uncovered, and a couple of men in their 60s — Jeffrey Gilman and James Arrington of Virginia Beach, Virginia — were arrested. They're facing second-degree drug-trafficking charges. Looks like, for once, the Spurbury Police Department couldn't steal these super troopers' thunder.

Nice to see that my tax dollars are going to waste.

Seriously, how much time and money will be spent prosecuting these two 'thugs' who dared to bring (gasp) the devil weed to Kansas! In a time of economic recession, budget cuts, and deficits, isn't it about time we stop wasting tax dollars in a pathetic attempt to keep cannabis out of Kansas?

Assuming the Show-Me Cannabis Regulation Initiative in Missouri passes, what will our poor lawmakers do when legal weed in flowing into the Wheat State from both ends? Will the Kansas legislature increase penalties for marijuana? At what cost?

Marijuana is nothing but a plant and Kansans historically tend to be farmers... Well, draw your own conclusions.

It's time to free the weed.

That doesn't look like Mexican commercial, that's real deal dank. This country is as big of a mess today as it has ever been. How much taxpayer money do you think this will tally up to? Years in jail, medical care, prosecution, ect. I bet if you piled the cash we waste on this next to the grass the money pile would be just as fucking big!!! You just have to HATE this fucking government.

Not just California, but several other states have fallen under a medical allowance flag. Just a matter of time.

2 of the past 3 presidents, as well as the current one, have smoked it.

Marijuana laws are ridiculous.
