The president will be in St. Louis tonight, after spending the afternoon in the Dallas area. He's scheduled to attend two fundraisers in St. Louis before flying back to Washington. Obama will raise money in Dallas, too, but he's also fitting in a public appearance. He'll visit a community college in suburban Mesquite, where he will tour the campus's Children's Laboratory School and talk about his American Jobs Act.
NBC News reporter Chuck Todd draws a conclusion from today's schedule: Missouri, which went for John McCain by a margin of fewer than 4,000 votes, is no longer a "purple" state.
From Todd's Twitter account:
So the president is traveling to TX and MO today and only has a public event in TX? More proof Team Obama doesn't view MO as a swing state

I don't know about that. The state has a democratic governor and a conservative legislator. We have one senator on the left and one on the right. If I had to take a stab at a 2012 prediction: I would guess that Claire is getting the boot and the state will go for Obama...because Missouri is weird like that.
Jack - - I believe he has a plan, it is "The Clovard-Piven Strategy" - look it up, it'd a short read.
"Absolutely," Obama said in response to a question from ABC News' George Stephanopoulos about whether the odds were against him come November 2012, given the economy. "I'm used to being the underdog. But at the end of the day people are going to ask -- who's got a vision?"

It's not a question of IF he screwed up, anymore.. even to Obama. The guy was elected with such fanfare, you have to wonder exactly how he screwed it up. He didn't need the entire four. In the FIRST TWO, he screwed it up. Yeah.. Vision is what we need. We can always depend on vision. Have to have that vision stuff... NOT LIKE WE NEED AN ACTUAL PLAN OR ANYTHING.
