  • A man who fled JoCo deputies is dead.
An officer-involved shooting left one man dead in Olathe Thursday night.

A Johnson County deputy noticed a vehicle facing the wrong way on Buchanan Street around 7:30 p.m., so the deputy stopped to investigate. A man fled on foot. A second deputy tracked down the guy a short time later in the 200 block of Keeler. The second deputy fired his gun, striking the suspect, who died at the scene.

Neither deputy was injured in the incident. There are few details on this incident at the moment. We don't know if the man was armed. We also don't yet know any identifying information, such as the man's name or age. We'll update when we find out more info.
