Joseph Jackson shot and killed at barbershop on Troost

UPDATE: Kansas City police have identified the victim of Wednesday night's barbershop homicide as 53-year-old Joseph Jackson.

Original Story (November 17): A man was shot and killed Wednesday night in a barbershop at Troost and East 34th Street.

Police were called to the shop around 6:10 p.m. after a customer found the victim, described as a black man in his 50s. The man died a short time later.

Police are still looking for a suspect. If you have information, call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.

Kansas City, Missouri's homicide total is now at 97 for 2011.
