DEar Mr. Kendall: Thanks for posting this info about KCMO's homicide stats--stats that most of the city's political class goes to great lengths to keep buried. After last night we are up to 105 homicides for 2011--at this point in 2010 we were at 93 homicides. (In all of 2010 there were 106 homicides.) And the city's business class wonders why we keep losing conventions--I have a hint: The conventions we lose do not relocate to Detroit or Newark or Camden or to any of the city's we are competing with for the title of "The Murder Capital of America." Take care. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans
