Nyx, real-life superhero formerly from KCK, getting publicity for her work

Pop-culture website Topless Robot has a list of "10 notable real-life superheroes (aside from Phoenix Jones)," and a former Kansas Citian is on the list.

A superhero named Nyx is still doing good works, helping the homeless and underprivileged. I heard about Nyx in 2009. At the time, she was preparing a move to New York. Sounds like she's made it to the area and is still doing good works.

The video, which appears to be about a year old, says she moved to join forces with another hero named Phantom Zero.

And if you haven't heard of Seattle-based Phoenix Jones, he made national headlines earlier this year after police arrested him and charged him with assault. Jones said he was just breaking up a fight with pepper spray while on patrol. The charges were later dropped.

I do wish you'd stop calling these people "superheroes" Justin. Until I see one of them fly or have bullets bounce off them, they're just ordinary garden-variety lunatics in my book.
