Will Albert Pujols be taking his talents to South Beach? Yes, I realize you're going to be seeing 100,038 versions of that lede. Ugh. Anyway, the Miami Marlins have offered Pujols a 10-year contract, according to
ESPN the Magazine's Buster Olney.
How much money is on the table isn't clear. However, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria has been writing some fat checks as late, including to All-Stars Jose Reyes and Heath Bell.
The Chicago Cubs are also reportedly in the hunt. I doubt there are many Royals fans who would be disappointed to see Pujols leave the St. Louis Cardinals.
Pujols is already 31, and I don't think I'd want him for 10 years, especially if he has a no-trade clause (which Olney isn't sure is in the deal).
