The 108th homicide occurred at the Express Stop (5712 Independence Avenue) on Friday afternoon. A white man in his mid-20s was found dead inside the gas station around 3:02 p.m. Police say the shooting may have been the result of an armed robbery attempt. UPDATE: The man shot to death has been identified as 33-year-old William Rees.
The name of the man killed has not been released.
Also this weekend, a woman was shot and killed at 26th and Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas, Sunday afternoon.
Officers found the woman around noon. Her name has not been released, but she is described as a black female in her 20s. UPDATE: KCK police say the victim is 23-year-old Ebony Turner of KCK.

Don't believe everything you read. Witnesses vehemently deny there was a gun - this wasn't an armed robbery attempt, he was shot in cold blood. This isn't the last you've heard of this story and the truth will come out.
I went to HS with Will. He was a very good hearted guy. Fell in with the wrong crowd and seemed to be lost from time to time just trying to make sense of the world itself. My heart goes out to his family.

So, how many of the 108 are white? I bet the demographic ratios are all out of whack. The biggest problem facing KCMO that concerns me is that the thugs are breeding faster than they can kill each other. I wish the fucking welfare queens would get sterilized after one kid.
