Man found shot to death on a porch in the 1900 block of East 71st Terrace; 109 homicides in KCMO in 2011

Kansas City, Missouri's homicide total is now at 109. A man was found shot to death Wednesday evening in the 1900 block of East 71st Terrace.

Officers were called to a shooting around 6:46 p.m. and found the victim on the porch of a residence. He was dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, whose name hasn't been released, is described as a black male. His age is not known at this time.

Detectives took two suspects into custody.
